[ Yukimura's eyes go wide at the sight he's treated to. The expanse of the town, and the beautiful hues of the clouds... he feels as if what he's seeing right now is a world unto itself. A hidden realm revealed to only a select few.

Yukimura sits on one of the cushions in a nearly reverent manner. ]

[ A man of culture indeed. He knows that Masamune's tastes are expensive, but he's so awestruck that even a luxury he would expect of Masamune has a kind of mystical quality to it. ]

This view, Lord Masamune! It stirs something within my soul... as if it were the heavens themselves before me!

It is as close as any man can hope to get. [It's not like anyone will ever figure out how to build flying machines, or even crazier,leave the entire planet. Pff.] No better place for a Dragon to watch over his domain than from the skies.

[Nothing's too expensive when that domain contains most of the land the country's most luxurious goods even come from. It's a good thing he's so humble about it. In comparison to what he could be, anyway. Cripes.

His greatest treasure and the greatest view are right here in front of him, and what he won't say with words is broadcasted loud and clear in the way he keeps Yukimura in his deep and gentle gaze. Yeah, the sunset's nice too. But there's only one chance to watch Yukimura experience it for the first time.

He takes his seat right alongside Yukimura, not at all shy about bumping up against him, and he motions with the sake bottle. It's probably better for now if he handles Yukimura's servings.]

[ Masamune staying in charge of the booze is definitely for the best. It would be a problem if Yukimura got too carried away three steps away from a cliff... Sure, he'd survive, but that's not the point.

Yukimura holds out his cup eagerly, but his eyes are quickly drawn back to the view. ]

If we humans could soar the skies as birds do, we might come to take it for granted.

[ And sharing this view with Masamune wouldn't hold the same magic it possesses now. ]

True, you have to know how it is to crawl along the ground and struggle against the current to really appreciate where wings might take you.

Even so... I think I'd like to be reborn as a bird in the next life.

[ Yukimura can easily picture it: a vibrant blue bird darting through the sky at sunset. ]

If you become a bird, I must grow my own wings and join you.

[ He won't be left behind. ]

[Would you follow me even beyond the end, Yukimura?

A precious, delicate thought that may very well shatter if he lets it out, so he doesn't.

Instead he pours some drink for himself and nestles in closer, resting his head on Yukimura's shoulder.]

Well, I don't intend on giving up this life any time soon. Don't change your mind before then.

[ When Masamune cuddles up against him like this, it feels like they're both puzzle pieces that fit right together.

Yukimura takes a sip from his own cup. The fuzzy warmth induced by the alcohol will make this all the comfier. ]

My mind won't ever change; not on this matter. That is a promise from the depths of my heart.

[ He seeks out Masamune's hand to take it. ]

[He hums contentedly and laces his fingers between Yukimura's. What a wonder it is that Masamune has two people he can love and trust to such an extent. That takes him higher than his own wings ever could.

He raises their hands together and presses his lips to Yukimura's knuckles. Such warm hands, as always.]

[ What a wonder it is that a man so like a force of nature could have such a tender side to him. It's not something Masamune advertises; no, this is a part of him that only those he holds close could ever be allowed to see.

Yukimura's knuckles almost tingle at the touch of Masamune's lips. ]

Lord Masamune, this side of you is...

[ It's sweet. It's cute. Really, really cute! But he can't just go ahead and say anything like that, can he? ]

It is endearing.

[ There. Maybe that will keep the dragon's pride intact. ]

[...He totally wants to use the word "cute," doesn't he? Masamune can tell that's what he's thinking! He huffs under his breath.]

It's as rare and fleeting a sight as these spring blossoms, so enjoy it while it lasts.

[ Oh no, Masamune, you're only making yourself cuter! ]

I shall! For it is more invaluable to me than even the view before us!

We'll see about that once it's nice and dark.

[He grins the devilish grin of a man who has plans for some BIG SHENANIGANS tonight. Even crazier than a horse on the roof...? That's probably subjective.]

[ Yukimura is intrigued. Just what does Masamune have up his sleeve? There's seriously no predicting him. ]

We will see. I think it will be no easy task to outdo what I am looking at right now.

[ And he's looking right at the cuddling Masamune. ]

[He does indeed have something stowed in his flowing sleeves, but that's for different shenanigans.

Although if Yukimura's going to keep talking like that, maybe it won't even come into play. Even with his walls down, that's disgusting.]

If you're hoping to see me blush like some cute maiden, you're outta luck. But I might let you see how long a fall it is off the ledge there.

[He drains his sake dish in one go and turns to put his arms around Yukimura's shoulders and toy with his ponytail.]

[ HE'S DISGUSTINGLY IN LOVE, WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM HIM ]

Agh... Was my intention so obvious?

[ He was being entirely sincere, but yes, he did want to see Masamune blushing like a cute maiden. Is that so wrong?! He had to at least try!! ]

I will find a way, Lord Masamune. I do not care if I am pushed off a cliff for my trouble!!

[ This Loud Yukimura Declaration is undercut by a slight wavering of his voice. Masamune toying with his ponytail is really cute, and it's making him blush like a cute maiden.

Damn it, this is the opposite of what he was trying to accomplish!! ]

[There it is. Feels good to turn Yukimura's own ploy against him. To give credit where it's due, it was pretty subtle. For the guy who's practically shouting his plans to the world now.]

I'd spare myself the trouble if I were you. Don't forget, I've been at this far too long for anything to make me blush.

[BOLD WORDS for someone who's reserved about his warm fuzzy feelings. But, uh, never mind that. Masamune smirks and pinches one of Yukimura's cheeks.]

Red's much cuter on you, anyway.

[ The word come out half-squeaked. If red is cute on him, then he must be adorable right this second. He can't even bring himself to swat at Masamune's hand. Yukimura's ploy is very effective when he's on the other end of it. ]

I!! I think even you are capable of blushing, Lord Masamune!! In a manner that is cute!!!

[ The more flustered he is, the louder he gets. ]

[Well he might just start blushing if Yukimura keeps yelling that shit in this HALF-OPEN PATIO. He doesn't need him putting that image in anyone's head!!

Time for the age-old classic of silencing with a kiss. SHUT UP SANADA.]

[ THE ONLY METHOD OF SHUTTING YUKIMURA UP THAT WORKS. He makes a confused "mmph?!" sound before he just rolls with the kiss.

Masamune, you fool. Suddenly kissing him is also very cute!! ]

--Isn't what you just did considered very romantic?

[Apparently it doesn't work as well as Masamune was going for! He stares flatly at Yukimura after that question, trying to gauge whether it's serious or teasing.]

[This whole visit is supposed to be very romantic. But that's all supposed to go WITHOUT saying...!

This time he pinches both of Yukimura's cheeks.]

[ Owie. So mean, Masamune. ]

--It is cute to perform a blatantly romantic gesture!!

[ That's his point! Masamune, you can't escape your cuteness!! Now BLUSH LIKE A CUTE MAIDEN, DAMMIT-- ]

[HE MIGHT BE. JUST A LITTLE. Or maybe it's just a flush from alcohol, or the glow from the setting sun. He'll go with one of those.]

That reaction is incredibly underwhelming. Too underwhelming. Calculatedly underwhelming... This is most certainly a ploy!

Yukimura leans in close. ]

I won't accept a lukewarm victory, Lord Masamune!

[ He's not entirely sure what his endgame is, but... it doesn't matter! ]

[Ah yes, back to comfortably having the upper hand. King in his own castle. Literally.

A lazy smile spreads over his face.]

And just what are you going to do about it?

[ Hm. What is he going to do about it?

For starters, he leans in even closer. Super close.
