The only man whose words reflect his heart just as clearly as his actions.

Masamune's just as glad to be looked at so lovingly by Yukimura. To see himself in those eyes that see through him without judgment. And it's good that Yukimura can read his eye so well, because he can't find the words to describe the light feeling in his heart. Which is kind of shameful, considering.

After a long moment he lets out a quiet 'hah' and runs a hand through his hair.]

Funny you should mention seeing yourself... Those are the kinds of things that you caught my eye with in the first place.

[Perhaps not so much ambitious, but steadfast in his cause nonetheless. Close enough.

Masamune hesitates before finally pulling his eyepatch off and casting it aside. That, he decides, should say everything.]

[ What he sees in Masamune, Masamune sees in him.

What a beautiful thing that is. Hearing Masamune say that makes him so happy, but it's nothing compared to the intense emotion that washes over him when he watches Masamune cast his eyepatch away.

The shield that protects him from judgment, from shame.

But there is nothing to be ashamed of. He must know that.

He trusts Yukimura with this scar and all the pain it represents, and what this means to Yukimura cannot be overstated.

He looks at Masamune head-on. At his slit-pupil dragon's eye, and at the scar where a right eye once was. Yukimura's own eyes are wide and shiny. Everything he's feeling threatens to overwhelm him, and he hardly knows what to do with himself.

Masamune cast away his eyepatch. ]

Masamune...!

[ The words won't come. What can he say that will do justice to the gravity of this?

All at once, he knows what to do. He, too, will speak with his actions.

Yukimura kisses the scar. ]

[Even if this isn't the first time Yukimura's seen the scar, Masamune is no less impressed and mystified by his lack of revulsion even when such a sight is sprung on him without warning. If Yukimura's heart can truly hold the love to make up for every soul who won't accept this wretched weakness, this humanity hidden beneath dragon scales, then his capacity for it must be without limit.

The kiss is so gentle on his flesh but powerful enough to send a tremor down his spine, enough to make him feel like he's falling, or perhaps flying. Tonight he really has laid himself completely bare for Yukimura; from his scar to his honest words to the very blood that runs through him. What a concept. He wonders if he somehow had a few more cups of sake without even realizing it.

But he doesn't regret this. Never will. He tightens his hold around Yukimura's shoulders and assaults his cheek and chin and lips with a flurry of kisses, and then tumbles backwards to pull him down with him. Fuck, he's in love. He loves his rival so damn much he could run to the balcony's edge and scream it to the whole town.

-But he doesn't, because that would ruin his image.

This cute side is all for Yukimura.]

[ He's certain he's never seen Masamune this affectionate before. Seeing the rarest sides of Date Masamune appears to be the theme of the evening, and he will cherish every minute of it. ]

[ He pulled them both down! Yukimura didn't expect that!! And it's so unexpected, so endearing, that as Yukimura lands on top of him, he starts to laugh, nuzzling his head into Masamune's chest. What a wonderful man. ]

[Even if Yukimura told anybody about this secret cuddly dragon, NOBODY WOULD EVER BELIEVE HIM. Except Kojuro, who already knows. But it's a perfect ploy otherwise!

Yukimura being cuddly is something more familiar, though. Last time Masamune had him on top of him like this, he was more drunk and less clothed. How Masamune managed to behave under those circumstances is a mystery even to himself. But tonight he doesn't have to.

He brushes Yukimura's hair behind his ear and offers a lazy smile.]

What do you know... looks like I did end up keeping you for myself after all, little tiger.

[ Oh yes, he remembers that conversation. Yukimura props himself up on his elbows. ]

What you have yet to realize, Date Masamune, is that I am the one who is keeping you.

[ What, like he's going to let Masamune say just things like that without responding in kind?

He can't make himself say the words 'little dragon', though. That's too much like a legitimate pet name, and that's so embarrassing!! ]

[It is definitely the kind of 'OH' one makes when torn between wanting to laugh and joke along and being offended by the sheer tiger balls. Masamune's eyebrows arch incredulously, and he lifts his head as if to dare Yukimura to prove it.]

Indeed!! It is true that I am the one in your territory, but that only means I ventured all this way to retrieve you!!

[ He's making this up on the spot and saying it with the utmost confidence. ]

Interesting. I have heard it said that you must venture into the tiger's den if you hope to catch its cub...

[He grins, all sharp teeth and hungry eye.]

But in this case, it looks to me like that cub's come out to walk right into the jaws of the Dragon.

[Aww yeah, there's what he likes. His pleased groan quickly turns into a played-up growl as he turns his head to catch Yukimura's ear between his teeth.

[He wraps his arms tightly around Yukimura and rolls them both over.]

[ And what pointy fangs they are! Yukimura's into that.

A ROLLIN' THEY GO. ~~RIGHT OFF THE CLIFF.~~ Now Yukimura gets to look up at that grinning face and those pointy dragon teeth. ]

And by what name does that tactic go?!

[ It has to have a dumb name. That's the rule now. ]

[ He doesn't know what "roll" in English means, but it sounds good, and that's what matters. ]

But now, you must answer to... Scarlet Befuddlement!!

This is Yukimura's version of psyching out his opponent. BE BEFUDDLED!! ]

[He just stares down at Yukimura for a moment, one eyebrow raised, lips pursed into the tiniest of pouts. And then he shrugs one shoulder dismissively.]

Sorry, General Befuddlement, but this Dragon answers to no one.

[Time to unleash an assault of nips and love bites on Yukimura's collar and shoulders, and get the rest of that pesky kimono out of the way.]

[ So trying to confuse Masamune by doing nothing is not a winning strategy... Maybe he needs to try the tsundere act again? Sure, Masamune probably won't fall for it twice, but there's always a chance!!

General Befuddlement, though... ]

No...! What a foolish name!!!

[ Coming up with good attack names that can't be used against him is harder than he thought. Even the love bite barrage (huh, is that a good name?) can't distract him from the echo of General Befuddlement in his head. ]

It's a shame that Yukimura seems to gave given up on calling them out now, though. Masamune'll have to goad him back into it at a later date. For now he turns his face to meet the nameless attack head-on, rumbling a playful growl as he tries to take Yukimura's lip between his teeth.

A task only made harder by talking.]
