[ When he shows Yukimura Dango #13, there's the sweetened soy sauce syrup normally covering mitarashi dango inside of it. Sasuke might be able to hide eating a flavored dango, but he's not going to. That's against the spirit of the game, and Sasuke spent so much effort on making this possible. ]

But... it could have been worse. This is pretty normal for a dango flavor, even if the syrup's usually on the outside.
